Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300–$2,420
• Location: Miami, Florida, in the greater South Florida region
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 18, 2027
• Call Requirement: Participation in an alternating first-call and second-call rotation
• Healthcare Setting: On-site cardiovascular operating room

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience, including perioperative nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or a multistate eNLC license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) PALS certification
• Cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with complex cardiac procedures and cardiopulmonary bypass preferred
• Pediatric, congenital, or adult congenital cardiac experience preferred
• CNOR, CPN, or equivalent certification preferred
• Availability for the full 13-week travel nursing contract and willingness to participate in the alternating call rotation

CVOR Nursing Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties for complex cardiac procedures
• Prepare operating rooms and verify the availability of cardiac instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies
• Support procedures involving cardiopulmonary bypass and collaborate closely with perfusionists
• Maintain sterile technique, complete surgical counts and time-outs, and ensure accurate perioperative documentation
• Anticipate intraoperative needs and respond effectively during complex or emergent cardiac surgery cases
• Provide perioperative nursing care for pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesia professionals, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and nursing staff
• Contribute to quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives
