Progressive Care Unit RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or comparable acute-care setting
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an on-site hospital setting
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring progressive or intermediate-level monitoring
- Perform focused and head-to-toe assessments, identify changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, laboratory results, and other indicators of patient stability
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Coordinate care with providers, therapists, ancillary teams, patients, and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote patient safety throughout the care experience
