Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment End Date: January 16, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Openings: 2 Pediatric Registered Nurse positions
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, as needed when census is low
- Floating: May float to Labor & Delivery and Medical-Surgical units
- Electronic Medical Record: Epic
- Dress Code: Gray scrubs
Pediatric Travel RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or an active compact-state RN license
- At least 1 year of professional Registered Nurse experience required
- Pediatric nursing and medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current NRP certification
- Current STABLE certification
- Ability to provide clear, age-appropriate communication and deliver safe, evidence-based care across pediatric and designated adult patient populations
Pediatric Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, postpartum mothers, post-operative patients, and general medical-surgical patients as assigned.
- Complete and document initial and ongoing nursing assessments based on patient age, symptoms, condition, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized plans of care to promote positive patient outcomes.
- Recognize changes in patient status and initiate timely, evidence-based nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring and documenting patient response.
- Perform point-of-care testing and document results according to unit standards.
- Provide patient and family education, including discharge planning and health-maintenance guidance.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate effective patient care.
- Delegate appropriately, support team assignments, and follow up on patient-care tasks for quality and completeness.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and communicate patient-care concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
- Promote a respectful, supportive, and professional environment for patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
