This 13-week travel nursing contract offers an opportunity to provide high-acuity emergency and trauma care in a 30-bed Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma facility. Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
- Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Position Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call: None
- Floating: Not required
- Scheduling: Block scheduling may be discussed based on staffing needs
- Orientation: One week, including hospital orientation
- Clinical Environment: 30-bed Emergency Department with an approximate 1:4 patient ratio
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Holiday Availability: Must be available to work Thanksgiving and Christmas

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience; 5 or more years preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current TNCC certification
- PALS or ENPC certification preferred
- NRP certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, effective nursing care in a high-acuity emergency and trauma setting
- Previous travel nursing or travel RN experience preferred
Emergency Department Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with a broad range of medical and surgical conditions
- Rapidly assess patients, identify changing clinical conditions, and prioritize care according to acuity
- Support the care of trauma, stroke, cardiac, pediatric, and sepsis patients
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and promptly communicate changes to the medical team
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
- Perform accurate nursing documentation in the Cerner electronic medical record
- Maintain emergency preparedness, patient safety, and professional nursing standards
- Participate in orientation and adapt efficiently to department policies, workflows, and clinical protocols
