Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350–$1,420

- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

- Unit: Newly opening 32-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 6:1 on nights
- Documentation System: Meditech electronic medical record
Med-Surg Travel Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience; 3 or more years of nursing experience preferred
- Recent hospital medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Telemetry nursing experience and comfort using electronic medical records preferred
- Professional, adaptable team member who is open to feedback and demonstrates an ownership mindset
- Navy blue scrubs required
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients during overnight shifts
- Assess patient conditions, monitor for changes, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, facility policies, and nursing standards
- Monitor telemetry and vital signs while documenting patient care accurately in Meditech
- Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, patient care technicians, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Support patient safety, comfort, mobility, and discharge planning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful patient care environment
- Adapt effectively to the needs of a newly opening medical-surgical unit and contribute to a positive team culture
