Join an experienced inpatient nursing team as a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) on a 13-week travel nurse contract in Marquette, Michigan. This on-site opportunity supports neuro, orthopedic, medical-surgical, and pediatric patients in a collaborative hospital setting. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160–$2,270

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; approximately three shifts per week
- Weekend Requirement: Three weekends every six weeks
- Call: None
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6
- Unit Size: 24 beds
- Float Requirement: Float to inpatient units as needed
- Dress Code: Galaxy blue scrubs
Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
- At least 2 years of inpatient Registered Nurse experience
- At least 2 years of adult clinical experience
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to provide safe, comprehensive care for patients of all ages older than 28 days
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care to neuro, orthopedic, medical-surgical, and pediatric patients.
- Assess patient conditions, develop individualized nursing care plans, administer treatments, and evaluate clinical outcomes.
- Support patients recovering from trauma, orthopedic and neurological procedures, and general pediatric conditions.
- Monitor for changes in patient status and promptly communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families about medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge needs.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation in the electronic health record.
- Float to other inpatient units when needed while maintaining professional standards, continuity of care, and patient safety.
