Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery Nursing
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700–$2,840
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Contract: 13-week travel nursing assignment ending January 30, 2027
- Work Setting: On-site
Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or obstetric nursing experience; recent OB experience within the past 2 years is required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Documented completion of an intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring course within the past 2 years
- Successful completion of the required pharmacology examination
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- BSN preferred
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive Labor & Delivery patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Assess and document patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs throughout admission, labor, and discharge planning
- Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
- Develop and initiate individualized plans of care while communicating pertinent findings to the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide fetal and maternal monitoring and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families while supporting a positive, respectful childbirth experience
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards and established policies
- Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities and serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and use nursing information systems effectively
- Adhere to patient safety, infection prevention, blood and body fluid, and confidentiality standards
- Participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development
- Provide service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues
