• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Unit Size: 24 beds
• Healthcare Setting: On-site acute-care telemetry unit

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to North Carolina
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in telemetry, cardiac nursing, or a closely related acute-care setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Experience caring for adult cardiac and telemetry patients
• Proficiency with LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Cerner experience preferred and strongly encouraged
• Ability to provide compassionate, organized nursing care in a collaborative environment

Travel Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for general cardiac patients ranging from young adults to older adults
• Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms and overall clinical status
• Care for patients experiencing chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and congestive heart failure
• Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac catheterizations, including groin and radial access procedures
• Support patients undergoing care related to video-assisted thoracic surgery
• Administer medications, perform thorough nursing assessments, and implement individualized care plans
• Use LifePak, Zoll, Masimo, and electronic health record systems safely and effectively
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage and maintain accurate clinical documentation
