Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Norwalk, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute-care setting
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Recent experience using Cerner electronic health records
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend rotations
• Willingness to float to appropriate units as needed, based on clinical experience and department policies
• Compliance with applicable workplace health and safety requirements, including required influenza vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care to adult patients across the medical-surgical continuum
• Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Cerner
• Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment throughout each shift
