- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320

- Location: Utica, New York
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 23, 2027
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour day/evening shift, approximately 10:30 AM–11:00 PM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Schedule: 12x3 schedule; block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Floating: Required as needed
- Charting: Epic EMR
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Emergency Department Travel Nurse Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse license, subject to license verification
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Current NIHSS and TNCC certifications
- Demonstrated experience caring for patients across the lifespan, including newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients and provide evidence-based care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Ability to meet applicable travel or local eligibility requirements
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, stabilize, and provide evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Care for patients experiencing stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Administer and titrate high-alert medications, including vasopressors, vasodilators, antiarrhythmics, sedatives, anticoagulants, thrombolytics, and insulin therapies
- Use specialized emergency equipment such as rapid infusers and Arctic Sun temperature management systems
- Provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, resuscitation, advanced airway support, and critical interventions
- Deliver age-appropriate care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Provide care for all assigned Emergency Department patients, including patients requiring specialized forensic or sexual-assault nursing support
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate timely evaluation, treatment, disposition, and transitions of care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and outcomes in Epic
- Float to designated Emergency Department areas and support department operations as needed
