Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in telemetry nursing, cardiac diagnostics, or cardiac stress testing
• At least 200 proctored cardiac stress studies
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to administer and monitor medications used during cardiac testing, including Definity, Lexiscan, and dobutamine
• Competency with bubble studies and IV placement
• Strong patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, clinical documentation, and patient education skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac stress testing, echocardiography support, and related diagnostic procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after stress studies, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythm or clinical condition
• Administer Definity, Lexiscan, dobutamine, and other ordered medications according to established protocols
• Perform and support bubble studies and maintain IV access for testing and medication administration
• Collaborate with echocardiography staff and other cardiac diagnostic team members to promote efficient, high-quality patient care
• Provide clear patient instructions, reassurance, and post-procedure education
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, test responses, and patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment within the Adult EKG stress lab
