Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Location: Albany, Georgia
- Start Date: October 2, 2026
- End Date: January 29, 2027
- Duration: 17 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 3:1, with some 2:1 assignments
- Documentation: MEDITECH
- Healthcare Setting: On-site acute-care cardiac stepdown and intermediate care unit (IMCU)
Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
- Recent cardiac stepdown, progressive care, PCU, IMCU, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
- Experience caring for ventilated patients and patients receiving critical drips
- Strong medication-management skills and clinical judgment
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Must meet the facility’s 75-mile radius requirement based on the address listed on the traveler’s driver’s license
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity cardiac stepdown and IMCU patients
- Monitor patients requiring ventilator support, critical drips, and close hemodynamic observation
- Administer medications safely and evaluate patient responses to treatment
- Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical team
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, develop and update care plans, and document accurately in MEDITECH
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide patient and family education while promoting safe, compassionate, evidence-based care
