Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Albany, New York
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,440
• Assignment Dates: October 26, 2026 through January 3, 2027
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: On-site Emergency Department
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Department setting
• Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize patients in a high-acuity emergency care environment
• EPIC electronic medical record experience is required
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts and maintain 36 hours per week
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Professional references and required travel nurse onboarding documentation

Emergency Department Travel RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Prioritize care for patients with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and communicate changes to the appropriate care team members
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and support staff to coordinate emergency care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
• Provide patient and family education while delivering compassionate care during stressful situations
• Support a safe, organized, and efficient Emergency Department environment
