Join a collaborative Family Birth Place team as an experienced night Charge RN for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in scenic Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Support labor and delivery, operating room, PACU, and postpartum care while providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing in a patient-centered environment. This healthcare opportunity serves approximately 80 deliveries each month, including newborns 32 weeks and older, and offers access to world-class hot springs, mountain views, and abundant outdoor recreation in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Travel RN Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810–$2,960
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends
- Call: Typically one 12-hour call shift approximately every six weeks; schedule may vary
- Work Setting: On-site Family Birth Place supporting labor and delivery, OR, PACU, and postpartum care
- Travel Requirement: Permanent residence must generally be at least 75 miles from the assignment location
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience; Charge RN experience strongly preferred
- Current Colorado RN license or compact RN license in good standing
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- STABLE certification
- Current influenza vaccination during the required seasonal period, October 1 through April 1
- Strong communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and nursing leadership skills
- Ability to provide documentation required for travel nurse assignment onboarding
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Serve as a night Charge RN and help coordinate safe, efficient care across the Family Birth Place
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
- Support operating room, PACU, and couplet-care workflows as needed
- Care for newborns 32 weeks and older in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor maternal and neonatal conditions, recognize changes in status, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Promote evidence-based practice and a compassionate, patient-centered birth experience
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage and the established call rotation
- Support and mentor team members while maintaining high standards of quality and patient safety
