Travel Nursing Job Details

- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: Required as needed
- Charting: Epic experience preferred
Travel Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey or a valid compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry, medical-surgical, or progressive-care nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, med/surg nursing, peripheral line care, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management
- Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and required floating assignments
- Applicants residing within 50 miles of the assignment location are not eligible
Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for adult and geriatric telemetry patients
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Interpret dysrhythmias and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
- Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate changes in patient status
- Manage peripheral intravenous lines, oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and non-invasive airway support
- Coordinate care with providers and support services, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Float to other appropriate units when needed and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team environment
