- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180–$2,290

Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience; cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or telemetry experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
- Comfort using EPIC or a comparable electronic health record system
Cardiac Stepdown Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and progressive-care environment
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with orders and established standards
- Recognize and promptly respond to clinical deterioration or cardiac-related complications
- Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
