Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920

- Duration: 12-week travel nursing contract
- Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
- Shift Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; scheduled Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Call: Required
- Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital operating room
- Documentation: Epic electronic medical record (EMR)
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
- Strong orthopedic surgical and perioperative nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in Florida or a valid compact-state license at the time of submission
- Active license verification available through Nursys
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Degree accreditation documented in the professional profile, or at least 5 years of applicable nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Flexibility to float to other operating rooms as needed
Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, supplies, and patients for procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the broader surgical care team
- Support orthopedic and other surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique
- Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes during the surgical experience
- Complete accurate documentation in the Epic electronic medical record
- Participate in required call coverage and maintain readiness for urgent surgical needs
- Adapt to workflow needs and provide coverage in other operating rooms when required
