Join a collaborative medical telemetry team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Salem, MA, caring for adult patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to work in a 41-bed telemetry unit with a diverse patient population, supportive clinical workflows, and exposure to a broad range of medical-surgical specialties. Salem is a historic coastal community with charming neighborhoods, a vibrant downtown, and convenient access to Boston and the North Shore.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Pattern: Day positions rotate between 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., 11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; night positions are straight nights. Every other weekend required.

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA-certified BLS
• At least 2 years of experience working in one clinical setting
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Experience managing cardiac telemetry and cardiac drips
• Experience with TR bands and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Ability to float to applicable units as needed
• Strong communication, patient assessment, organization, and clinical care skills

Telemetry Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal diagnoses.
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and accurately interpret telemetry strips.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Assess patients, identify changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Manage patients requiring TR band care and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
• Support safe patient transitions, patient education, medication administration, and discharge planning.
• Float to appropriate units when staffing or patient-care needs require.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
