Description
American Traveler is hiring a Tele Float RN with MA licensure and 2+ years of telemetry experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Tele Float position with expectation to float to all telemetry units
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 48 hours per week scheduling
- Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH) rotation required
- Union facility requires ability to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, must be in hand to be considered
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience strongly preferred; exempt units include Mother Baby/Postpartum, Ambulatory, OR, SACU, and Psych
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and cardiac drip management (no titration)
- Experience with CVA and traumatic brain injury patient care preferred
- Experience with isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, and PCA management
- Two professional references required, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information
- Float to all telemetry units as needed based on facility demand
- Must pass two pass/fail exams at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam, each with only one attempt allowed
- Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to support exam preparation
- RTO requests allow for 1 of the 3 upcoming major holidays; no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
- Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review
- First-time travelers accepted if they have previous floating experience
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
- RNs must reside within 200 miles for travel rate eligibility
