Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 1 year of recent critical care or ICU nursing experience
• Experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, intermediate care, telemetry, or a comparable acute-care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to perform IV starts and laboratory draws or specimen collection
• Experience titrating critical care medications or intravenous drips
• Strong cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and clinical assessment skills
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to complete required pre-assignment education and competency modules

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and intermediate-care unit
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and clinical status while promptly identifying changes in condition
• Administer medications and titrate critical drips according to orders and facility protocols
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and collect laboratory specimens accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while following all safety, quality, and infection-prevention standards
• Support unit operations by participating in weekend, holiday, and other scheduled coverage as needed
