This on-site travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Nurse who enjoys caring for adult and pediatric patients, responding confidently to changing acuity, and supporting efficient patient flow during high-volume periods. Located in northern Colorado, Greeley offers a welcoming community, scenic parks, and convenient access to the outdoor recreation and natural beauty of the Front Range.
Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Greeley, Colorado 80634
- Assignment: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: February 1, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,030
- Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department serving adult and pediatric patients
- Weekend Coverage: Required according to unit needs
- Call: Not required
- Charting: Epic
- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- Floating: May be required within the nurse’s scope of practice, including support for like units or pediatric observation needs
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Colorado
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC, and CPI certifications
- Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation; Epic experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with varying patient acuity
- Strong emergency nursing assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes and Emergency Department needs
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Perform rapid triage, focused assessments, reassessments, and ongoing monitoring of emergency patients
- Provide emergency stabilization and resuscitation for critically ill and injured adult and pediatric patients
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias while interpreting cardiac monitoring results
- Administer medications and manage IV access, central lines, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors as indicated
- Support patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, and other critical-care interventions
- Interpret arterial blood gases and recognize changes associated with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
- Apply isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment practices
- Prioritize care effectively in a high-volume emergency setting while maintaining accurate Epic documentation
- Provide family-centered care for pediatric patients and communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Float within scope of practice as needed to support emergency and pediatric observation care
