Join a collaborative critical care team as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in Boston, Massachusetts. This 13-week travel nurse assignment offers experienced critical care nurses the opportunity to care for complex adult medical, surgical, and burn patients in a high-acuity intensive care unit. Burn ICU experience is not required. Located in the 02114 area, you will be near historic neighborhoods, cultural attractions, the Charles River, and convenient public transportation.
ICU Travel Nurse Job Details
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse / Critical Care RN
- Unit: Adult medical/surgical ICU caring for complex surgical, medical, and burn patients
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: December 27, 2026
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02114
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and ability to meet Massachusetts nursing practice requirements
- At least 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Experience caring for critically ill adult medical and surgical patients
- Burn ICU experience is not required
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong patient assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Critical Care RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult medical, surgical, and burn patients
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established clinical standards
- Coordinate care with advanced practice providers, physicians, residents, consultants, and the broader multidisciplinary team
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and update plans of care as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support continuity of care
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and compassionate care in a high-acuity ICU environment
