Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) – Travel Contract in Beachwood, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Work Setting: On-site, 36-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit
• Typical Patient Assignment: Nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:5–6

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Recent medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Experience using Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Medical-Surgical and Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Manage patient assignments while maintaining quality and patient safety standards
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns according to clinical protocols
