Position Overview
A nonprofit acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for its inpatient behavioral health program.
This is an excellent opportunity for a current Behavioral Health Assistant Nurse Manager or experienced nursing leader ready to advance into a Nurse Manager role. The position oversees staffing, quality, patient care, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily inpatient Behavioral Health operations
- Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance
- Drive evidence-based practice and quality improvement
- Monitor departmental budgets and resource utilization
- Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
- Promote patient safety and exceptional clinical outcomes
Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or eligibility
- Nursing degree required
- 3-5 years of nursing experience
- Current inpatient Behavioral Health experience required
- Nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification
- Strong staff development and operational leadership skills
- ACLS/PALS preferred
