Position Overview

A leading Level I Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Director to oversee a high-volume Emergency Services program.

This role provides leadership for a 40-bed Emergency Department and 14-bed freestanding ER, collectively serving 77,000+ patients annually.

The Director will partner with executive and physician leadership to strengthen operations, improve patient outcomes, and drive continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and operational performance across two ER locations

• Lead staffing, recruitment, retention, and leadership development

• Manage budgets, productivity, and resource allocation

• Drive patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

• Improve patient experience, throughput, and departmental efficiency

• Strengthen physician relationships and employee engagement

• Support strategic growth and performance improvement

Requirements

• Active Arizona RN license required

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business, Management, or related field (or qualifying equivalent experience)

• 5+ years of hospital nursing management experience

• 3+ years of supervisory experience

• Strong financial, operational, and clinical leadership skills

• MSN preferred
