Durango is nestled in the Four Corners area of Colorado in the furthest reaches of the state's southwest territory near New Mexico, far from cities like Denver and Boulder in the Front Range. It sits at the edge of craggy peaks and evergreen forests with the Animas River running through, ideal for fishing, kayaking, rafting, paddleboarding and tubing.
