Minimum Requirements – Ultrasound Tech

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound experience in an acute care setting
Experience performing abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound exams
Experience with DVT studies, carotid scans, transvaginal, scrotal, abdomen, pelvis, and renal studies
Ability to perform 10–15 studies per day in a high ER volume environment

Licensure / Certifications:

BLS required
RDMS (AB – Abdomen) required
RDMS (OB/GYN) required
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred

Skills:

Experience with abdominal, OB, vascular, and pelvic ultrasound imaging
Ability to perform transvaginal, carotid, arterial/venous Doppler, and fetal viability exams
Knowledge of proper cervical length measurement in OB scans
Experience with Philips ultrasound systems preferred
Familiarity with Cerner EMR and McKesson PACS

Schedule:

8-hour day/evening shifts
40 guaranteed hours per week
Overnight call rotation required.
