Job Title: Neuro Acute Care Registered Nurse
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Start Date: 12/01/2025
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care in a 48-bed Neuro Acute unit with 10 epilepsy specialty rooms
• Manage patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, TBI, and other neurological conditions
• Monitor and interpret 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle neurological changes
• Perform cranial nerve assessments and neurological evaluations
• Care for post-operative neurosurgical and scoliosis surgery patients
• Manage patients requiring BiPAP with RT support
• Document all patient care accurately in Cerner system
• Float to MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed
• Maintain sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care

Qualifications:

• LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Strong neurological assessment and critical thinking skills
• MedSurg/Telemetry experience required
• BSN preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts maximum)
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab for Foley catheter and central line care
• Must live outside 50-mile radius (driver's license verification required)
• Professional appearance: natural hair color, no facial piercings, clean-shaven for men

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current, active Arizona RN license or compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• MedSurg/Telemetry certification preferred
