Radiology CT

General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT (CT), WA license required
CT certification preferred not required
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 2 scanners
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Inpatient ages 15 and up, outpatient, ER
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties General CT studies
Experience or 'Must have' skills 2 years of experience. Candidates for CT must have Client experience
Average # of scans/studies per day 50-60 scans per day
What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use? EPIC. PACS- McKesson
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Client (experience REQUIRED)
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech? M-F Supervisor for all. Evening M-F x-ray lead. At night there is one Xray and one CT tech.
Radiologist in-house 24/7? Radiologist off site after 5 pm and weekends
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Yes- Preferred
Shifts & Scheduling Wednesday - Saturday 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Weekend Requirement According to contract. No weekend rotation.
Holiday Requirement Rotation with perm staff
Call or Standby requirement? Response time? No set call requirements. per contract only
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Any colored professional scrubs
Department specific orientation 1 week of orientation
