PROFILE REVIEW MANAGER INTERVIEW
- How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 2 scanners
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Could float to transport to help other departments with patient care. Could float to other area in radiology that they are certified in.
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Inpatient, outpatient, and ER, CTA, Biopsies, Stroke imaging, Coronary CTAs
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: preferred biopsy, drains, IR, and stroke imaging
- Average # of scans/studies per day: 45 scans
- EMR &/or PACS do they use? EPIC
- Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Siemens 64 slice CT scanner, Siemens 40 slice CT scanner with Fluoro capabilities
- Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift? Supervisor on days
- Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No
- Radiologist in-house? Yes, Mon-Fri 0800-1630, After hours images are sent to teleradiology
- Do they have to start IVs? Yes, willingness to learn if not
- Shifts & Scheduling: 8hr shifts: 6:30-15:00, 7:30-16:00 and 12hr shifts: 0800-2030, 0700-1900, or 1900-0700, Coordinator and supervisor create the schedule
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend - to every third weekend, 12 hour shifts.
- Holiday Requirements yes
- Call or Standby requirement? Response time? n/a
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? any color scrubs
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 1 week
- Additional Notes: Attributes that will help someone be successful include teamwork, easy to get along with, hard worker- need staff to take the initiative to get things done. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
