Job Description:
The Traveling Clinical Launch Manager – Hospice DeNovo is a seasoned, dynamic registered nurse leader responsible for the successful clinical launch of new hospice locations in support of the organization's strategic growth initiatives. This role provides comprehensive oversight of all clinical components during the start-up phase, including patient admissions, interdisciplinary team management, regulatory compliance, staff onboarding, EMR utilization, and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Acting as the interim clinical leader, this individual ensures the operational readiness and regulatory compliance of the site while embedding a culture of clinical excellence. They lead the recruitment, training, and development of permanent clinical staff and ensure a seamless handover through structured transition planning and mentoring. Once clinical operations are stabilized and leadership is in place, the manager will redeploy to the next assigned DeNovo location, continuing to support the organization’s growth and quality standards across expanding markets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Associate degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (5) years relevant experience as a registered nurse in a Hospice environment along with serving in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead clinical teams, manage start-up environments, and train/develop clinical leaders.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
- Active RN License in good standing (multi-state compact license strongly preferred).
- Certification in hospice and palliative care (CHPN) preferred but not required.
- SKILLS:
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Deep understanding of hospice regulations, eligibility criteria and interdisciplinary care
- Highly organized, adaptable and results-oriented
- Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems
- Exceptional communication and team-building skills
TRANSPORTATION: Reliable
TRAVEL: Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time, with flexible scheduling based upon market needs.
