Description
Weekend on call every 6 weeks.
Coordinates total nursing care specific for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures; participates in patient and family teaching
and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other team members and disciplines in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
* Cath lab must have had a minimum of 1 year working independently in the Cath Lab procedure rooms.
* Takes 3-11 and/or 11-7, weekend and holiday call.
* 1 weekend call Fr-Sun in a 6-week period
* Must be able to respond within 20 minutes of a call-out.
* 4x10 hour shifts a week. (DCH will advise start & end times) 7a – 5:30 pm , POSSIBLE 5 AM START TIMES.
* Some late days during the week.
* 30-minute lunches.
Education - Required
• Associated degree in nursing
Certifications – Required
• AHA BLS
• NIH
OR RED CROSS
Licenses – Required
• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
• NURSYS
Experience - Required:
• 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 years of recent experience in the field of specialty.
