Schedule - M-F between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. One to two weeknight of call, every fourth weekend. Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, TAVR and Left Atrial Appendage ClosureJob Duties:Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies. Prepares patient and equipment for utilization of sterile technique. After procedure, prepares equipment/supplies for sterilization. Monitors and records all procedural data and maintains procedural event logs. Provides patient comfort while familiarizing him/her with the equipment and supplies needed for the procedure. Applies the necessary monitors and prepares access site(s) including the necessary sterile drapes. When scrubbing into a procedure, uses sterile and aseptic technique as required for infection prevention. Advocates for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers. Wears personal radiation dosimeter and takes necessary precautions to limit/minimize patient and staff exposure. Documents fluoroscopy time and radiation doses and evaluates reports to determine if values are within established safety limits.
