Description
Floor: Cardiopulmonary Specialty Services
Trauma Level: 3
• Role : Cardiac ECHO Sonographer
• Specialty: Cardiac ECHO Sonographer
• Shift: 7A - 3:30P
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs.
• Weekend Hours: Only every 5th weekend ‘call’
• Call Requirements: Every 5th Week for one week
Unit Information:
• Number of Beds: 194
• Patient Ratios: N/A
• Equipment: GE Vivid E95
• EHR: Cerner
• Required Certifications: CCI or RDCS, BLS and ACLS (must be from AHA)
• Years of Experience: 2 years
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Adult ECHO & PEDs ECHO

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
