Job Summary (List Format) – Occupational Therapist I/II / Advanced Occupational Therapist I/II

- Provide quality occupational therapy services to predominantly Native American patients with developmental, cognitive, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities.
- Assess, interpret, and document patient evaluations and test results for patients from birth through geriatric age groups.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or via medical prescription.
- Set realistic treatment goals based on patient abilities, needs, and diagnoses.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to maximize independence.
- Deliver therapy for both inpatient and outpatient populations; maintain operation and organization of the Occupational Therapy program.
- Chart patient care services in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide specialty services including custom orthoses, sensory integration, cognitive treatment, and activities of daily living training.
- Participate in specialty clinics as needed (Spinal Cord, Functional, Geriatric, Assistive Technology, Prosthetic/Orthotic).
- Assist with program development, quality improvement, risk management, and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state licensure/certification, organizational policies, and the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics.
- Provide training and in-service education to students and staff.
- Consult and collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses, social workers).
- Maintain Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges.
- Work regular weekday hours (Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm); weekend services not currently required.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
- Must possess valid occupational therapy licensure and maintain BLS certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist, with strong orthopedic skills preferred.
