Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds - 2 heart rooms with a 3rd possible

• Number of Staff - 4 RN, 3 CST

• Type of staff:

• Day Shift - 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST

• Night shift - No night shift, on call only

• Patient Ratios - 1:1

• Type of equipment -

• EMR - Meditech / CPN

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current hospital CVOR RN hospital experience

• BLS, ACLS

• Active KS RN licensure

• Must have Charge CVOR RN experience

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• PALS

• Open Heart and Cardiovascular experience

• Prior Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• CABG and AVR

• MVR and TAVR

Best personality Fit:

• Confident, team player and positive attitude

• Patient experience is a priority

• Communication with staff and providers

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

• On-call consists of 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month are required
