    Description

    Job Summary for RN - Emergency Department (ED): - Work in a large, 637-bed Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations. - Provide care in a 61+ bed Emergency Department (ED), including surge beds. - Care for diverse patient populations with common diagnoses such as chest pain, stroke, diabetes, abdominal pain, MVCs, hypertension, trauma (stabbings), and mental health crises. - Maintain patient ratios of RN 1:4 (varies by zone). - Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted. - Hold and maintain current certifications: BLS, BCR/EKG competency, ACLS, PALS, TNCC; National Emergency Nursing certification preferred but not required. - Demonstrate skills in Level 1 Trauma emergency care and manage critical IV drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed). - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: CNAs, unit secretary, charge nurse, phlebotomists, PICC team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, and central telemetry. - Utilize advanced equipment and technology: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis med dispensing, Phillips monitors, cardiac telemetry, PCA pumps, bladder scanners, rapid infusers, and more. - May float within the ER as needed. - Complete orientation: 1 day general, 2 days departmental. - Work 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A); 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; no on-call; holiday shifts required. - Adhere to unit policies: navy scrubs for RNs, free or paid parking available, team-oriented, fast-paced work environment.
    Lamb Staffing Job ID #3592. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
