Nuclear Medicine Technologist ● About Facility: o Turner McCall Blvd, Rome, GA 30165 o 361 licensed beds o Level 2 Trauma Designation o Teaching Hospital? Yes, Residency Program o Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center ● Unit Information: o Beds/Rooms: 3 ▪ Census? Average patients/day? 14 patients per day o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of Nuc Med experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes ● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Adults only o Cardiac scans, stress rest tests, gastrics, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, lung scans/perfusions (VQ scan), GI bleeds, parathyroids with Spec CT, administration of i131 ● Required License, National Certification, Certs: o BLS o ARRT or NMTCB o No state license required ● Skills required: o Experience with above scans; send for manager if not experienced with something (except for hard stops below) o Hard stops: cardiac/stress rest tests, HIDA, GI bleeds, VQ scans, starting IVs o Must have experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S. Siemens Prospecta experience is preferred o Must be comfortable working solo as could be the only Nuc Med Tech for the shift ● Support within the Department: o Lead Tech o Management o House Transport o 2-3 Nuc Med Techs during the week, 1 on weekends o RNs 1 RN during the weekend to help with cardiac cases o Rapid Response/Code Team ● Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o PACS: Philips o Unit specific equipment: Siemens CKM (required), Siemens Symbia S (required), and Siemens Prospecta (preferred) ● Floating: If yes, where? o No ● Orientation (facility and unit) : o NEO o 4 shifts of orientation once in the department ● Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: Refer to requisition, could be every weekend o On call? Yes ▪ Late call 3x/week until 1800. There is no overnight call, only late call. ▪ Response time is 1 hour o Holiday Expectations: Call only; could be on call for some holidays o Approval of RTO: to go through manager o Shift times: Refer to requisition o Schedule cycle: Will have set schedule; refer to requisition for schedule ● Other notes: o Scrub Color: Black o Parking: Free o Unit Culture:
