Description
Eligibility: Must have separated from any Providence-affiliated facility for at least 3 months to qualify as a traveler.
Licensure: Active compact nursing license accepted at all Swedish facilities.
Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Level III or IV (23-24 weeks gestation).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required.
Patient Care: Typically do not admit babies (dedicated Admit Nurse in unit).
Procedures/Skills Required:
Ventilator management (CPAP/BiPap, High Frequency Vents, Oscillators, Vents)
Blood/blood product administration
Cardioversion/defibrillation
Use of cooling/warming blankets
Feeding tubes
PICC/Central lines
Syringe pumps
Attendance at high-risk deliveries
Care for neonatal surgeries
No ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) cases.
Unit Details: 77 beds, average census of 50. Scheduling: Block schedule available/preferred; can work 3 or more shifts in a row.
Floating Frequency: Rare due to high RN need in NICU, but possible if needed.
