- Assumes responsibility for a designated group of patients for a specified time frame.
- Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, current nursing trends, and technology.

- Performs all responsibilities and duties specific to the assigned unit and scope of service.
- Implements nursing procedures and theories relevant to the clinical area.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for use by the healthcare team.
- Completes initial assessments upon patient admission and develops individualized care plans.
- Executes nursing interventions and patient care procedures based on care plans and unit standards.
- Continuously evaluates and modifies care plans as needed.
- Ensures patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards or incidents.
- Communicates effectively with team members to resolve issues and promote collaboration.
- Provides constructive feedback to peers to support their professional development.
- Identifies personal learning needs and actively seeks opportunities for growth.
- Satisfies all departmental competency requirements.
