Description
- License Requirement: Active Alaska LMSW license required (temp license accepted; candidates should apply if not already licensed).
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required.
- Assignment Length: 13 or 26 weeks.
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend.
- Floating: May float to similar units as needed.
- Provide psychosocial and emotional support to patients and families.
- Consult-based service across Emergency Department, Children’s (Pediatrics, PICU, NICU, Maternity), and Adult Inpatient units.
- Complete psychosocial assessments and person-centered discharge planning.
- Provide brief clinical interventions and resource navigation.
- Screen for suicidality and develop safety plans.
- File reports of harm per state statutes.
- Coordinate with outside agencies and entities.
- Collaborate closely with RN Case Managers and interdisciplinary care team.
- Education Requirement: Master’s in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited school.
