Description
- Position: Float RN (PCU/Step Down)
- Shift: 3x12-hour shifts per week, 19:00 - 07:30
- Start Date: ASAP
- Work Setting: Float team, covering various units as needed (ER, Telemetry, Med-Surg, etc.)
- Patient Population: Diverse, may include ER-boarded, telemetry, and med-surg patients
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4-6, varies by unit and acuity
- Experience Requirement: Must have US RN experience (Canadian experience alone not sufficient)
- Charge Responsibilities: Possible, especially on small units (1–2 RNs, supported by LPNs/CNAs); includes staffing, bed flow, and coordination
- Charge Nurse Experience: Required
- Facility: Providence St. Peter Hospital (Short Term Acute Care, 325 beds)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Additional Notes:
- Must check with Manager before offering 48-hour/week contracts
- Team-based, flexible to fill institutional needs
