Job Summary (List Format):

- Functions as a vital member of the perioperative team, assisting during surgery under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Acts as first, second, or assisting Surgical Technician to support safe and effective patient care during the intraoperative period.
- Independently scrubs and assists with basic surgical procedures.
- Utilizes knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology to optimize patient care.
- Applies understanding of electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, and lasers in the surgical environment.
- Demonstrates ability to problem solve and respond appropriately to procedural needs.
- Maintains principles of sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
- Practices effective patient care concepts and promotes perioperative teamwork.
