Job Summary (CT Technologist – Grapevine, TX)

- Performs high quality CT procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by licensed providers, following established protocols.
- Operates and maintains CT equipment, ensuring operational capability and cleanliness standards.
- Adheres to safety requirements including radiation, infection-control, drug, and sterile techniques.
- Explains and prepares patients for procedures, positions patients, and provides clear communication to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Monitors and documents radiation doses, performs dose monitoring, and takes action if reference levels are exceeded.
- Conducts iSTAT point of care testing for creatinine levels as needed.
- Ensures accurate documentation including requisitions, patient history, consent forms, and imaging records in departmental systems.
- Maintains inventory and supplies and reports equipment or supply issues.
- Screens individuals entering the department per policy to ensure safety.
- Provides timely, accurate, and cost-efficient services in compliance with regulatory and system policies.
- Responds calmly in stressful situations, administers first aid, and utilizes emergency equipment as necessary.
- Delivers courteous service, addresses patient needs, and strives for high patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrates ongoing education and competency for care across age ranges (newborn to geriatric).
- Serves as a preceptor to train new team members as needed.
- Participates in on-call rotations if required.
- Works independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and integrity at all times.
