Job Summary: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

- Schedule: 13-week contract; 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a); every other weekend & holiday required; no on-call
- Charting: EPIC experience required (Non-Epic: CPN/GE Centricity)
- License/Certifications:
- Active New York Single State RN license required (no pending, NY is not Compact)
- Certifications: OB-ACLS or ACLS, BLS, EFM, NRP
- Clinical Skills:
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate/recover C-sections
- Administer Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin (oxytocin, Terbutaline)
- Perform APGAR scoring, “Baby Catcher” duties, ID/Security Banding, use Radiant Warmers
- Insert/manage Foley catheters, provide fundus/lochia/perineum care, manage postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Conduct NSTs, utilize EFM and IUPC for fetal monitoring
- Unit Details:
- Care for all pregnant patients, any gestational age, and postpartum up to 6 weeks
- Equipment: GE Fetal & Telemetry Monitors, Monica wireless fetal monitoring, Neopuff, Draeger newborn warmers
- May float within skillset to similar units
- Scrubs provided by hospital

- First-time travelers accepted
- Local RNs (within 75 miles) not eligible; local LPNs accepted
- May be canceled up to 3 shifts per contract by client without penalty
