Job Summary

Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (No guaranteed block scheduling)
Unit: Emergency Department
Patient Population: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Bed Count: 64 beds (2 Triage, 40 Acute, 6 Super Track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 Psych)
Specialty Equipment Used: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
Medications/Drips Administered:
Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine
Sedatives: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl
Others: TNK, Heparin, Insulin
Duties & Expectations:
Provide care to all assigned patients
Float to other units as required
Charge nurse capability highly preferred
EMR: EPIC experience required
Travel Experience: Required; must be documented in resume
Minimum Experience: 2+ years in Emergency Department, including pediatric experience
Certifications Required:
AHA ACLS
BLS
PALS
NIHSS
TNCC
License: Active NY RN License (verified via NURSYS)
Location Requirement: Must live at least 75 miles from the facility (locals considered at lower rate)

Med Ninjas Job ID #16890. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
