RN – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)

Position: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Specialty: Med-Surg
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Shift Type: Night Shift
Shift Duration: 12 hours

The Med-Surg RN provides direct nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, care planning, and coordination with the healthcare team.

• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Manage wounds, drains, catheters, and other medical devices.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Perform pain assessments and provide appropriate interventions.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.

• Active RN license
• Recent Med-Surg experience
• AHA BLS required
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative patients
