Description

Job Summary :

- Position: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
- Unit Details: 12-bed PICU, private rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, family-centered care, collaboration with Pediatric Transport Team
- Shift Requirements: Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
- Location Requirements: No local candidates; must live at least 50 miles from facility (verified by driver’s license)
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to NICU (feeders & growers, not critical neonates), General Peds, and ED as needed
- Documentation: Uses EPIC EMR
- Required Experience: Minimum 24 months recent PICU experience
- Equipment Experience Preferred: Ventilators, high-flow oxygen, Alaris IV pumps, feeding pumps
- Certifications Required: BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), active Iowa RN or compact license

Med Ninjas Job ID #17537. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
