- Manages assigned patients, including both non-complex and some complex cases.
- Prioritizes tasks based on patient needs, assignment changes, and unexpected events.
- Utilizes and delegates tasks to team members appropriately.
- Provides clear, goal-focused shift reports and advocates for patients with physicians.
- Uses effective communication and teamwork strategies to optimize patient outcomes and unit productivity.
- Selects appropriate communication styles and gives/receives constructive feedback.
- Assesses and adapts teaching strategies to meet patient and family learning needs.
