Travel Registered Nurse – ER (Adult)

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission
• Call-Off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted / Radius Rule: RNs within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. Locals accepted for LPNs.

REQUIRED LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS

• Pending License Accepted: No
• Must have an active New York Single State RN License. (NY is not Compact)
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIHSS required
• Please include valid NIHSS certification in the submittal.

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

• IV therapy, including:
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Starting and maintaining IVs
  • IV vasopressors
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Ventilator management
• CVA (stroke)
• Neuro-trauma
• Spinal cord injury
• TBI
• Cardiac monitoring, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Emergency care
• Adult/Pediatric ED
• Gunshot wounds
• Orthopedic trauma
• Isolation precautions
• Triage
• Pediatric spinal cord injury

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: 1:5
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: All emergency-type diagnoses
• Special Equipment:
  • Bair Hugger
  • Rapid infuser
  • Safe patient handling equipment
• Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
• Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
